📖 La règle
Le Present Continuous décrit une action en cours au moment où l'on parle ou une situation temporaire.
Formation :
- Affirmatif : Sujet + am/is/are + verbe-ing
- Négatif : Sujet + am not/isn't/aren't + verbe-ing
- Interrogatif : Am/Is/Are + sujet + verbe-ing ?
Marqueurs : now, right now, at the moment, currently, Look!, Listen!
💡 Exemples
I am reading a book right now. → Je suis en train de lire un livre.
She isn't sleeping, she's studying. → Elle ne dort pas, elle étudie.
Are they coming to the party? → Viennent-ils à la fête ?
⚠️ Pièges fréquents
- Verbes d'état incompatibles avec -ing : I am knowing → I know
- Doubler la consonne finale : run → running, sit → sitting
- -e final muet disparaît : make → making, write → writing
